Description | Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: [a radio conference with Jomo Kenyatta] discussing constitutional talks on Kenya, Kenyan independence, property rights and equal rights for all citizens; and the NFD (Northern Frontier District of Kenya) including borders and territories, population, independence, development and secession.
Names featured include: JK [Jomo Kenyatta], [Paul] Ngei, Chief Abdi Ogli, Chief Farah, Ali Hersi, Maalim Stamboul, Jomo Kenyatta, Tom Mboya and [Ronald] Ngala.
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook. |
