Admin HistoryPeter Till, a British illustrator, began contributing to the Guardian c1994.

Born in Manchester in 1945, he read English Literature at Cambridge University. One of his drawings was bought by Oz magazine in 1969 and his work also appeared in Time Out, beginning his career in illustration. He has contributed illustrations to major publications both nationally and worldwide, including the Radio Times, the Times, the Sunday Times, the New York Times, the New Yorker, and to magazines in France, Holland, Germany, and Australia.

In 1991 the Royal Mail commissioned him to design postage stamps portraying eminent Englishmen such as Michael Faraday, the scientist. Till won a Victoria and Albert Museum runner up award for editorial illustration in 2005.
