Admin History | Before working for The Observer, Anthony Howard had worked for the Manchester Guardian, the New Statesman and the Sunday Times. Howard worked at The Observer as Washington correspondent between 1966 and 1969. He then stayed on at The Observer as a political columnist between 1971 and 1972 before going to work for the New Statesmen in 1972. Howard did, however, return to The Observer as deputy editor from 1981 to 1988. |
