Creator Name | Sprigge; Cecil Jackson Squire (1896-1959); journalist |
Description | Letter from CP Scott to Cecil Sprigge agreeing that the latter's detatched approach to reporting on fascism is the right attitude for a foreign correspondent and also in line with general Guardian tradition. Scott also assures him that the omission of one of his reports is entirely due to a oversight in the composing room and not a reflection on the value of his work. Another foreign correspondent is discussed whom is described as being, 'more heavily blue-pencilled in a month than any other correspondent in a year'. Typescript with signature on Manchester Guardian headed paper. |
