The notebook also contains brief references to Nyasaland, SR [Southern Rhodesia] and NR [Nothern Rhodesia].

Names featured include: Laurie Campbell, [AM] Webb, [Tom] Mboya, [Ronald] Ngala, Mrs Abwao, Mrs Penwall, Mrs Kiano, [Jacob] Namfua, JN [Julius Nyerere], George Ivan-Smith, [Oscar] Kambona and Sir Ernest [Vaisey].
