Folder 1 includes correspondence with HR Davies (Director) and LL Jones (Labour Advisor) of the society. Subjects discussed include the payment of subscription fees; advertising and production statistics; the shortage of stereotypers, and the London Newspaper Strike of 1955. Also included is a copy of the Newspaper Society Rules (1953, printed). 1952-1959.

Folder 2 contains letters from the Newspaper Society on the Finance Bill of 1947 (subtitled 'Advertising Tax'); on a Voluntary Plan for Limitation of Certain Advertising- concerning rationing of goods subject to purchase tax (1948); correspondence with Leonard Fletcher, Public Relations Officer of the society, on a contribution to Advertisers' Aid (1948), and correspondence on giving a talk to the Sheffield Publicity Club. 1947-51.

Folder 3 includes correspondence with HG Milner, and with LL Jones, HR Davies, and FW Cranmer (President) of the society. Subjects discussed include the provision of pension rights, industrial disputes and labour negotiations. Also included are financial statements made to the National Labour Force enquiry, giving details of all wages paid by the Guardian in 1951.
