The file contains correspondence and memoranda relating to a proposal by Martin Wainwright to re-erect the Cross Street corridor as part of a permanent exhibition at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester (1995-1998).
The file also includes: A list of 'Archive material removed from the Guardian's Cross St. Building in January 1971' which was transferred to the John Ryland's University Library and 'Documents stored at Broughton Lane;' Photographs of artefacts in situ at Broughton Lane garage including the Manchester Guardian masthead, war memorial and corridor doorframes and panelling; Correspondence relating to the redevelopment of CP Scott's house 'The Firs' by Manchester University (1996).
