Generally three leading articles were published Tuesday - Friday, with two leading articles published on Saturday and Monday. On Mondays and Saturdays the leading articles appeared as a column on the left side of the page. From Tuesday to Fridays they appeared as two columns on the left hand side of the page. The leading articles were published under the heading 'Comment' rather than the traditional heading 'The Guardian'.
