| Description | Monthly and six monthly reports compiled for the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC) on the average daily net sales of the Guardian and Guardian Weekly. The reports in this volume are arranged in reverse chronological order.
Included in this volume are 27 copy letters mostly from MGA Jack, Circulation Director, to the auditors Cooper Brothers & Co and to the ABC dated 27 July 1967- 17 December 1970 relating to adjustments made to the accounting of average daily net sales to take into consideration shortfalls in production or distribution largely due to industrial disputes. Also attached is an appendix explaining how the figures in the reports are calculated. |
