The earliest example of a change of format appears on Tuesday 12 September 1995 when the heading (the first example of a weekday heading included in this volume) appears 'The Guardian' with the date, edition number (46,344), address '119 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3ER', fax number '0171-837 4530' and email address 'E-mail: letters@guardian.co.uk'. On Saturdays the leading article appears across the top third of the page, under the heading ''The Leader Page, The Guardian' with the date.
