| Admin History | The Millennium Monster project was the working title given to the Guardian's plan to create an online history of the last millennium. The finished project was titled '1000 years in 500 days'. In the 500 days leading up to the year 2000 the Guardian published a brief history in the form of a 'news' summary two years at a time starting with the year 1000-1001 and ending with 1998-1999.The final output was published online between 19 August 1998 and 31 December 1999 at https://www.theguardian.com/Millennium/0,,294648,00.html.
