| Description | Contains hard copy print outs of emails, notes, minutes from meetings and diagrams (many with handwritten annotations) concerning the development by the Guardian, New Media Department (later Guardian Unlimited) and Online Magic of a feed to move Guardian and Observer print copy from editorial systems (Atex and Quark) into an Oracle database to be useable for the Guardian website, library and clients.
The file also includes a list of Guardian meta information catagories used for the printed version of the Guardian newspaper, a paper on text extraction and a paper on the advantages and disadvantages of using an object-based production system.
