| Description | Colour designs for Guardian webpages created as part of the R2 rebuild and redesign, 2007-2008. Many of the designs are annotated with comments and are signed by Emily Bell (Guardian director of digital content).
The designs have been kept in the original order that they came to the archive, arranged in the following sections:
- Network front
- Newszone, including designs for UK, Europe and World news and education pages
- Observer, includes designs for the network front and Observer branded galleries and articles
- Sport, includes designs for the front, Euro 2008, fixtures and results, keywords and match report pages
- Comment, includes designs for columnist index, CiF front, keyword and contributor pages
- Culture, including designs for gateway, art and design, books, film and music pages
- Business, includes designs for market and share price pages
- Life & Style, only includes one design for the front page
- Travel, includes designs for the front and article pages
- Content type pages, includes designs for cartoon, gallery, quiz, poll, article, contents, series, index, keyword and audio pages
- Communities, includes designs for user profile, comments, post pages*
- Rebranding/[Janes], includes designs for favicons, navigation bars for sections and film pages
The original folder included subject dividers for Money, Environment, Blogs and A-Z/Global section but these sections contained no designs so have not been kept.
The file also includes an internal email listing bugs across the site with release R35, 12 May 2008. |
