Description | Black and white advert with sound for the Guardian. Features several black and white close up shots of a politician shaking hands with members of the public.
Commentary: "I think many, many politicians are quite open and very honest people. However, they come up against many pressures. There are words being whispered in their ears all the time. They can be advised by people who's natural bent is not one of openness. The good political journalist sifts through the propaganda inside the increasingly secret world of politics. It's the old philosophy of 'its not in your interests to know.' At the Guardian we regard that as bunkum. It is is our interests to know."
Strapline: 'The Clout'.
Duration: 33 seconds. The advert starts at 00.18 on the mp4 file. |
