Description | Colour advert, with sound, for the Guardian newspaper. The advert is set in a staff room at a hospital and features surgical staff discussing their weekends with one another. One member of staff (James) is sat in the corner reading the Guardian. All the staff but James (who is still reading the Guardian) leave the room to prepare for surgery. One of those who left has to come back in to ask James to get ready for surgery. James was so engrossed in reading the Guardian that he is surprised that the patient has gone through to surgery already. The advert ends with James putting the paper down on one of the seats and the camera zooming in on the Guardian masthead.
