article by Hetherington, 'The Editors: the Guardian', in Punch magazine, 6 January 1965;
Copy of 'Guardian: An introspective postscript' by David Ayerst, presented to LP Scott on his retirement on 13 November 1973. Contains information which was left out of Ayerst official history;
the front of the Guardian Christmas card from Hetherington, [c1960s*];
menu from the farewell dinner given for Hetherington's retirement from editor, 4 November 1975, the cover has a sketch and photographs of Hetherington and inside there is a tribute to Hetherington's work as editor, with a letter from Laurence Prestwich Scott marking the occasion;
and
signed menu from the dinner given by the Guardian and Manchester Evening News and Scott Trust to mark the retirement of Hetherington as the chairman of the Scott Trust, 31 October 1989.
