| Description | Four sequences of negatives filed alphabetically under subject's surname. The sequences were divided into four sections and have been catalogued to reflect this original order; two for male subjects (older and more recent) and two for women. Unlike other series created by Jane Bown, these series contain a mixture of photographs of personalities, Observer staff members and private portraits. In nearly all cases negatives are 35mm frame size and had been seperated at an earlier stage from any 120 sized material (taken on a rolleiflex camera). |
