Description | Copies of parts one and two of a programme on the history of royal photography. Part two includes interviews with Jane Bown and Luke Dodd conducted in the reading room of the Newsroom, Guardian and Observer Archive and Visitor Centre, discussing Jane's portrait of Queen Elizabeth on her 80th birthday. Interview covers the way Jane got the job by making a "flippant remark" suggesting "why not let one 80 year old take a photograph of another?" Also covers her approach to the commission, and her overall technical approach to any subject.
