DescriptionA Man holding a piece of wood with a nail through it rolls up his sleeves and speaks the words of the cartoon's title. On his right arm is the message 'TUC'. The woman he is addressing is an old lady sitting on a stool beside a broom. To her left we can see a pumpkin and two mice, bringing further references to the Cinderella fairy tale.

[News from 3 September: Britain's largest union, the Transport and General Workers' was leading a campaign for better pensions and was set to demand that the TUC should lead industrial protest action as an essential part of an intensified fight to raise the single person's pension to £10 and that of a married couple to £16 immediately.] (Source: The University of Kent, British Cartoon Archive)
