DescriptionA five panel cartoon set during an 'Election Ball'. Harold Wilson and Edward Heath stand in women's clothing. A group of men approach, greeting them under the names Harriet and Edwina. The second panel shows the group of men following Harriet. Clearly she is the main attraction of the ball, where meanwhile Edwina stands alone in the foreground holding a handkerchief and sobbing. The third panel indicates that time has passed. Edwina, with tears in her eyes, says to Harriet (who is arm in arm with a man): "I'm strong, dedicated, honest, with qualities of leadership - yet YOU get their vote!!!" Edwina then demands in the next panel that Harriet "Let me [Heath] in on your secret!!!" In the final panel, Edwina finally acknowledges the halo [possibly a ring of smoke from Wilson's pipe?] which floats above Harriet's head. Asking what it is, it is revealed as "The Wilson ring of confidence!!"
