Description | Margaret Thatcher dressed as Cleopatra stands on a platform looking at a plan of a pyramind. Behind her are two men [one Ken Clarke] bandaging a mummy labelled 'Tory economic policy'. Off stage there are shouts of 'Down with Cleothatcher' and 'Bring on the asp'. In front of the platform there is a procession of slaves pulling a huge stone. The first stone says '17 per cent' on it, and on top of it sits Geoffrey Howe, brandishing a whip. A speech bubble above the slaves says 'Now that you mention it, it doesn't look anything like a Temple to Capitalist "know-how"...'. Behind this first stone there is another labelled 'mortgages', and to the right of the image, there is another in the distance labelled 'VAT'. |
