Description | Margaret Thatcher is at the left hand side of the image staring worriedly towards the right. In front of her, Geoffrey Howe has cut open a bird labelled 'Labour's Economic Policy' and is reaching into it with his right hand. In his left hand he holds a bloodied knife. On the floor is a circular object [a golden egg] labelled 'First glimmer of recovery'. On the right hand side of the image are a crowd of excitable people, holding out dishes and licking their lips. Behind them is a town with buildings labelled 'Golden Egg Saloon', 'Bank', 'Free for all Saloon', and 'Hive off Casino'. Above the crown there are banners saying 'Happy days are here again', and 'Welcome to Maggieville - Anything Goes'. Other people in the town are shooting their guns and riasing their glasses. |
