DescriptionA cartoon in two panels. In the first, the three party leaders Jeremy Thorpe (Liberal Party), Edward Heath (Conservative Party) and Harold Wilson (Labour Party) are shown attempting to travel across some water to reach Georges Pompidou (President of France). Pompidou awaits them holding a Union Jack flag, with his arm outstretched to greet them. The three British politicians are making their way across the water on a sleeping/resting crocodile labelled 'Party Support', where Wilson leads the way holding a marching drum that says 'Europe here we come'. In the second panel, the 'Party Support' crocodile reacts angrily, opening its mouth to stop Thorpe, Heath and Wilson completing their journey to the other side. The message 'Party Support' is no longer visibile on the crocodile. Disappointed, Pompidou drops his flag and begins to walk away from the three stranded politicians.
