DescriptionA cartoon in which a lion is shown on its back, in a grave which has been labelled by its gravestone as 'To the memory of British Past Glory'. Harold Wilson appears shocked at the discovery [that the past glories in this shallow grave still appear to have some life] and he drops his shovel. The lion is depicted angrily showing its teeth towards the two other surprised people shown in this cartoon. A man wearing glasses and a suit labelled 'BBC' drops his 'Times Change: The Proms' wreath, whereas the second man drops a similar object which says 'Fond farewells from Spain'.
