DescriptionLen Murray, dressed as a circus owner, pictured in conversation with Denis Healey. Behind them is a small stand labelled "Social Contract," with a performing walrus on top which balances a ball on its nose which has "wage restraint" written on it. On top of the ball is an elephant, representing tax, which clearly proves to be too heavy for the walrus. This analogy of the fragility of Labour's Social Contract policy is a recurring theme in this collection.
