| Description | Margaret Thatcher holds two signs which read "Libyan kids enjoy being bombed' and 'Shut yer trap if you know wot's good for yer' [sic.]. Norman Tebbit leans on a picture on the wall of a bomb site with planes flying over it, slanting it. A caption on the picture reads 'Aircraft over Libya'. On the other side, a man labeled BBC stands angrily looking at them. Behind him is another picture with the caption 'election'.
On the back of the cartoon is a rough sketch of a man holding a slanted picture and a painter sat down.
Context: Norman Tebbit attacked the BBC's reporting of the bombing of Libya by the USA, claiming bias. (Source: Gibbard's Double Decade Omnibus) |
