| Description | Depicts Margaret Thatcher dressed in a long dress with the words 'Flimsy Explanations' written on it. Looking worringly out over a balcony at [Michael Heseltine] approaching as a vampire with the words 'Westland' written on it. In the background there is a crypt with the words 'Rest in Peace' on it and in it you can see coffins, one with the word 'Belgrano' on it.
Heseltine is there to represent the dispute he had with Thatcher over Westland Helicopters, that ultimately resulted in Heseltine's resignation, and the Belgrano represents the controversy over the sinking of the Argentine ship.
Titled 'The twin spectres of Westland and the Belgrano sinking would not go away.' in Gibbard's Double Decade Omnibus. |
