| Description | Depicts three masked bandits ambushing a horse and carriage on a country road. Three well dressed male figures are standing on the back of the carriage. The passengers of the carriage, a man and woman, stand outside the door with their luggage trunks open and their possessions gone looking angrily at the driver of the horse and cart, who is lifting his hat to the leader of the three ambushers. The leader is beaming and gesturing towards the three men riding the carriage, the three men at the back of the cart are smiling in the direction of the three robbers. The male passenger is wearing a waistcoat which has the British flag printed on it. |
