| Description | Depicts Margaret Thatcher tied to a train track in an 'immovable monetarist position' looking lovingly toward two men smoking cigars and driving along the tracks on a hand operated machine labelled 'C.B.I' (Confederation of British Industry). Above Thatcher a speech mark reads 'Ah! My Heroes!' while the two men reply 'Sorry Lady! We've got problems of our own!'. A train is quickly approaching behind the men, the word 'recession' is written in the smoke erupting from the train.
The accompanying Guardian article has the title 'Britain heading for deep recession says CBI'. |
