| Description | Margaret Thatcher dressed as a belly dancer dances with a bag labelled 'Not in the public interest' which is full of veils. She tosses one over a soldier with a smoking gun. Behind her there are 6 more veiled items. One is a gravestone cross labeled 'Belgrand'. Another is a helicopter labeled 'Westland'. There are also three figures labeled 'GCHQ', 'BBC' and 'Press' in turn. All seem to be struggling. The final veiled image is a book labeled 'Spy Catcher'.
Context: Thatcher attempted to suppress the publication or reporting of information deemed 'not in the public interest'. |
