Description | The first panel of this cartoon shows a man in spectacles and wearing a Union Jack waistcoat is holding onto a broken clock attached to a building. In the next panel the man begins to fall as a glass pane window opens outwards and has knocked him down. The window has "Oil, Power, Coal & Rail Limited" written on it. In the third panel the man has hit a flag pole, which bends under his weight and leads onto the final panel where he has bounced upwards from the flag pole and resumed his original position of holding onto the broken clock. Edward Heath is also featured in these panels looking down at the falling man. He is smiling at first, but is soon concerned and surprised as the man falls. Then he is smiling again when he bounces back up. |
