DescriptionThe cartoon depicts a group of black people holding broom sticks looking at Alec-Douglas Home, dressed as a witch, holding a book entitled 'Beginner's Guide to Black Magic'. In between them is a group of [lizards] labelled 'commission on racial discrimination' and a [pumpkin] with '£50 million education aid' written on it. In the bottom right hand corner is a group of men crouched behind a bush, holding an alarm clock. In the background is a castle on a hill labelled 'government'.

[News 26 November 1971: Ian Smith addresses the Rhodesian parliament reaffirming the need for control of Rhodesia to remain in 'civilised' hands and claims that the 24 November settlement made with Alec Douglas Home 'contained no commitment to end racial discrimination'.
