DescriptionFive colour adverts with sound promoting The Observer's news coverage.

Adverts 1-4 are set in an auction house, where the auctioneer displays a young woman as "lot 34": an "excellent spurned mistress story". The sound fades in and out to accomodate the commentary, but it is possible to hear that the story sells for £90,000.

The fifth advert has a different setting, but similar commentary.

All five adverts end with a shot of a copy of the Observer newspaper falling onto, and covering copies of the other sections and magazine, along with the tagline: "Where News Comes First".
