Includes correspondence and memos relating to the agreements and on the following subjects: office space for NUJ meetings (1968); salary comparisons with other newspapers; the NPA/NUJ relationship (1970); paygrade explanations and appraisal criteria; the extension of non-pay sections of the 1970-71 house agreement, due to expire at the end of 1971, to end of June 1972 in line with national negotiations (1971); insurance for reporters and photographers in high risk areas (1971); recommendations from the Department for Employment and Productivity about journalists' salaries (1970); outside work; the Institute of Journalists (1974); the employment of an 'unqualified' journalist and the journalists' qualification clause in general (1970-1974).
