| Description | Series of negatives of photographs of personalities including individuals, people at events, and musical groups. Series arranged alphabetically by surname. Includes personalities featured within The Observer paper as well as pictures of a number of members of the Observer's staff. Negatives are mostly 35mm although some 120 sized roll film negatives do exist. The series is incomplete and there are a number of file cards within the sequence representing negatives which have been removed and either lost or returned to the photographer at the time of assignment. Includes work by a wide range of Observer photographers including; John Hodder, Sue Adler, David Newell Smith, Bryn Campbell, Roger Hutchings, Neil Libbert, Colin Jones, Eamonn McCabe, Ian Berry, Tony McGrath, Jane Bown, Sally Soames, and David Mansell. |
