plus figures for returns from town agents and country agents. Figures also include net sales, a comparison with sales the corresponding week the year before and the weekly average. Up until April 1940 a column entitled 'contents bills' is also completed which contains details of one of the articles published on that day. After 1940 this column is used to record general comments regarding circulation and reasons for unusual figures.
Also includes handwritten letter from William Millinship to Donald Trelford explaining how he came into possession of the volume and commenting on its contents. |
