Descriptiona. An advert promoting a three part series on drugs in the Observer Life magazine:

Shows a kaleidoscope effect created with images of pills and, at one point, a moving toad, set to hypnotic music. Finishes with a shot of the Observer 'Life' magazine, along with a copy of the newspaper, around which flowers and foliage grow suddenly, as in a hallucination.

Commentary: "Why did the CIA host drug parties for prostitutes? What are the signs of an addictive personality? Which drugs allegedly improve your sexual performance? How can a toad in Colorado produce hallucinations? How much do you really know about drugs? Test yourself in a three part series starting this Sunday in the Observer."

The advert features a kaleidoscope effect created with images of the Taj Mahal, a woman wearing a headscarf and riding a moped; camels and riders; mosaic tiles and the face of a child it ends on text, in Arabic and English, reading 'Paradise lies at the feet of the Mother.'
