Description | Notebook written mostly in shorthand but with some longhand, containing notes on Canada and the United States: including the Canadian economy, Canadian elections (particularly Newfoundland and Winnipeg), conditions in cities in the United States with particular reference to housing and the environment in New York City and a press interview with the Beatles on their tour of US and Canada. The notebook also contains brief references to apartheid in South Africa, the UN, the Vietnam War and Southern Rhodesia.
Names mentioned include: Wallace Greene, Canon Collins, [Abraham] Ribicoff, [Jacob] Javits, JL [John Lindsay] and LBJ [Lyndon B Johnson].
